Jung Nam-Hae

Abstract
Objective : The purpose of this study was to conduct a Delphi survey to develop evaluation items that can measure the elderly¡¯s situational awareness.

Methods : From September to October 2020, expert opinions were collected using the Delphi method for 20 expert panels related to elderly driving. The Delphi survey was conducted in three stages, and the first Delphi questionnaire consisted of 18 closed-ended questions and 1 open-ended question that could measure the elderly's situational awareness based on operational definitions, item conditions, and previous studies. Thus, expert opinions were collected. The 2nd and 3rd Delphi questionnaires were deleted, modified, and added based on the results of each 1st and 2nd questionnaire.

Results : In the first Delphi result, 18 items were selected, and in the second Delphi result, values with a content validity ratio of .5 or less and items that overlap the meaning were deleted and modified, and 15 items were selected. 15 items were finally drawn from. The average content validity ratio of the final Delphi survey was 1.0, stability was .11, convergence was .27, and agreement was .88, showing a high degree of agreement.

Conclusion : This study derives items for measuring the elderly¡¯s situational awareness. In the future, the validity and reliability should be verified after developing series pictured based assessment.
